In the countdown to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018, the majority of businesses only considered the implications of this within EU boundaries and not something that US companies need to worry about. However, this is not the case and it is vital that businesses based on the other side of the Atlantic, and further afield, ensure they comply. Failing to do so can severely delay the chances of businesses operating effectively across international markets.

Businesses should see complying with GDPR as an opportunity and make the way they handle data a selling point and a strong platform to grow and evolve in today’s data-driven world.
