Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Brickendon Consulting Limited commits to reduce absolute scope 1 & 2 (market approach) by 60% by 2026 and scope 3 GHG emissions from Purchased goods and services, Business travel, Employee commuting, Employees working at client sites, Employee working remotely.
Brickendon Consulting Limited commits to reduce absolute scope 1 & 2 (market approach) by 100% and scope 3 GHG emissions from Purchased goods and services, Capital goods, Business travel, Employee commuting, Employees working at client sites, Employee working remotely, by 100% by 2028 from a 2023 base year.
Brickendon Consulting will have reduced emissions from scope 1&2 by 20% by end of 2024 compared to our baseline year of 2023, equivalent to a reduction of 74.888 tonnes CO2e.
This has been achieved by increasing our remote working policies which show a reduction of 54% in carbon compared to a worker in the office, and increasing the amount of renewable electricity we use at our serviced offices.
Brickendon Consulting carbon reduction initiatives addressing emissions across scopes 1, 2 and 3 are shown in the graphic below:
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard1 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting2.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard3.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the management committee and signed by the CEO.
